Meet Mel

Hi there! My name is Melyssa aka Mel. I am the owner and head bartender for this service . I am usually front and center at your event , if one of my amazing bartenders are not. Im also the one behind the scenes answering all emails, phone calls , preparing the ingredients and making sure the final touches are just right behind the bar. Along with making sure all the details align at the bar the day of your event.

A little about me and this service :

We started this service in 2019 and have grown tremendously since. We provide bar and event services for all occasions : Weddings , birthdays , graduations, non-profit events , baby showers, retirement parties, the list goes on! Since opening we’ve joined a few groups such as the Chamber of Commerce and Shenandoah Wedding Professionals. We now have a team of 6 and can accommodate up to 250 guest! We are truly thankful for all the friendships, partnerships, and connections we’ve gained over the years. Many don’t know , but outside of this service I do work part time as a Nurse, while continuing my education to purse more hands on in the OR— I will be graduating this May! I am also a boy mom of a 4 year old , and play with superhero’s more often then I ever thought I would lol! If I’m not front and center at your special occasion you can catch me at home watching Law & Order SVU and cooking, or im hanging with my family and friends , as family is most important to me! When it’s warm I also try to get to the beach any chance I can. With all of that being said, I look forward to celebrating and creating magical moments behind the bar for you and your guest this year! Cheers!

Meet The Team!

Tina has over 10 years of bartending experience. Tina started with us shortly after we opened in 2019. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing and hard working individual apart of our team. Tina is local to the Wild and Wonderful West Virginia , so you will see her there. But she also covers our Pennsylvania , and/or some of our Virginia events.

Rishena is a newer bartender , but has been in the serving industry for a long time. She has been with us for a little over a year and is now a natural behind the bar ! Rishena is quick on her feet, attentive , and over all a joy to work with! Rishena covers a lot of our Maryland events. But she is always willing to go wherever the party is! Because of her flexibility we are lucky to have her on our team!

Mel was wonderful! Provided a great list of beverages for me to get for the party, and was easy to contact every step of the way. She even made sure to bring me one of the mocktails so I wouldn't miss out while I was running around greeting people. Couldn't have asked for better!

I worked with Mixing with Mel for my wedding reception. She was amazing to work with and was flexible in booking when I had a last minute cancelation and had to find something rather quickly and close to my reception date. She is sweet, professional, and very easy to work with! Her prices are affordable for the services she provides and made the whole process so smooth! I would highly recommend Mixing with Mel for any bar service you need.

Absolutely amazing is how I would describe working with Mixing with Mel. We used Mels mobil bar services for our August wedding and she was absolutely amazing! She is Super professional, always willing to answer questions, works with you on creating signature drinks for your event. Her pricing is absolutely reasonable and worth every penny. Our wedding guests loved the signature drinks we had everyone said they were delicious. I will forever recommend Mixing with Mel to anyone and everyone I know for weddings to corporate events. We hired Mixing With Mel for an Apple Blossom event and we are so glad that we did! Mel provided great customer service before, during, and after the event. She scheduled a call before the event to go over all of the details and finalize the plans. During the event she was on time and her staff was friendly and professional. So many great things to say about Mel. She helped me up until the day of, figuring out our signature drinks and how much alcohol, ice and juice we would need. We had a venue where cocktail hour was in a different location than the reception and she arrived early to scope it out. Will 100% use her again if we have an event requiring a bar tender. Thank you Mel we enjoyed having you celebrate our day with us!

Working with Mel was awesome! She gave us great advise on types of wines and amounts. Our guests though turned out to knot be super partiers so we bought a little too much. We were able to return some that we knew we wouldn’t drink. She was easy to communicate with prior to the wedding and was super professional during the party. She was so sweet to save the last cider for the bride. Would def use her again if we need a bar tender! Thanks Mel!!!

As an event/wedding coordinator for The Hasty Bride LLC, it is paramount that I find reliable, professional, and punctual vendors that will ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
